Getting ranking on Google for competitive keywords is no walk in the park. It takes time, money, patience and a lot of effort.
Luckily for you, I offer an affordable service that gets results and is tailored to your business. If you want to try and do it yourself, then good for you I always encourage learning new skills especially if it helps with the development and growth of your business.
When taking a hands on approach and doing it yourself, you will need to use a variety of tools in order to help you get your website performing on-site and off site and get you competing for them competitive keywords. A tradesmen wouldn’t show to a job without his tools, and you shouldn’t either.
Keyword research is always my starting point. I tend to stick to 2 tools to help with this: Ubersuggest and Google keyword planner.
From here I would optimise my on page SEO for the keyword and also solve any technical issues such as load times in order to have my page load instantly and rank higher on Google. I use WordPress to build websites so Yoast is a great plugin to use for on page features and then run it through site checker on page tool. Smush is a tool to use for optimising images on your site and converting to Webp. Use Google page speed insights and GT Metrix to help with speeding up your load times.
Once you have the on page and technical SEO down to a tee its time to move on to link building, for backlink monitoring, analysis, competitive analysis and website authority checking I use the same ones as always Moz, aHrefs and Majestic. It is then down to you to reach out to websites, use directories, video’s, guest posts, infographics and other link building methods to build the authority of your website
