Starting a business on Facebook is very simple. The difference between a business page and a normal profile is that instead of people sending friend requests they can like your business page.
Your Facebook business page can feature a shop, a click to call button, a click to buy button, you can update customers and create ad campaigns to increase business leads as well as much more.
To start a Facebook page it’s very simple, you will first need to be logged in to your Facebook account or that Facebook account you want to have as admin. If you don’t have a Facebook account, head over to the website to create one.
From your Facebook dashboard, on mobile click on the three line’s then navigate to pages and on desktop click pages from the left hand column. When loaded up it will show all the pages you manage or own if you have some, at the top you can see a button labelled ‘create’, if you don’t have any pages it will prompt you to create a page.
Click the create page button, it will show you some information, then click on get started. Search the category of your business and click on next (you can add up to 3 categories). It will then prompt you to add your page name, this will be the name of your business, charity or fan page etc. You can then add the address of your business or choose to skip.
You will be then asked to upload a cover photo and logo. If you don’t have one you can use a free tool like canva to get started, or contact me for some help 😉. Once you’ve uploaded your logo your good to go, you can start inviting friends and uploading content. Facebook will give you tips on how to make your page better by adding descriptions, contact details opening times, your products and service etc.
There is lots you can do to increase your following, competitions, ad campaigns, using local groups and much more. For any assistance growing your audience in a targeted market, you can contact me. You should also set up a business Instagram page and link it with your Facebook business page.
